My good friends, Kelsey and Cameron, came to town earlier this week from Minot for their engagement photos! I met Kelsey back in college, and I'm pretty confident in saying she was one of my worst influences. Also very confident in saying she was one of my best influences! I won't get into the worst influence part for the sake of professionalism, but as far as the other part, this girl is an amazingly talented graphic designer. She would text me questions about assignments, which would actually just remind me to do my homework (whoops). Whether it's a design problem, or a life problem, to this day I can always turn to turn this girl for help. We even spent a month in NYC together attending a Parsons Design School summer course!
While I was taking a look at next month's weddings, I realized I didn't blog this epic Colorado engagement session! You may remember these two from their shoot last winter.. but now that I think about it, I don't think I blogged that either. WHOOPS, I should do that, it was pretty cute.
Anywayyyyyyyy.. back in April I took a weekend trip to Colorado with my family (it also happened to be my birthday!). While I was in town, I of course had to meet up with one of my upcoming wedding couples. These two are tying the knot in the Colorado mountains in July! I seriously couldn't be more excited to explore with them + their adorable pup on their special day. These photos are from the Red Rocks area and a nearby lake, sorry in advance for the overload!
If you've been following along for awhile, you may remember Kyleigh from her badlands maternity session last year. I was so excited to have a chance to meet up with Kyleigh and her family while in the Minneapolis area last month. Just before leaving town for the weekend, we took a jaunt up to Interstate Park, a place I've been wanting to shoot at for awhile. Luckily these two were down for the drive for an adventurous anniversary session, and I even got to meet little Oliver!
This shoot is what (my) dreams are made of. I had never met Dani and Jake, so I was a little nervous. I usually take my clients out for a drink before the engagement session to get to know each other, so by the time the wedding rolls around, we're basically besties. Luckily, my nerves left the second I met these two and saw the chemistry between them.
This was the second styled shoot of mine & ily Studio's getaway weekend. We had the most amazing vendors to work with in the Fargo-Moorhead area. I had a vision in mind, but holy crap did the vendors exceed all my expectations. From the gorgeous boho hair and makeup, the trendy bowtie, the eucalyptus focused florals, to that stunner of a Maggie Sotero dress... I couldn't be happier with this tender and intimate shoot.

One day, my good friend Stacy over at "ily Studios" and I were talking about how excited (and nervous) we were for the upcoming wedding season when we decided to plan a styled shoot! We thought it would be the perfect way to gear up for wedding season and let some creative juices out that had been building up from winter. Well, one shoot turned into THREE. Here's the first, featuring my cute friend Becca. Disclaimer: Becca has totally modeled before (I mean, she's gorgeous, of course she has!). I honestly was a bit nervous, I specialize in shooting couples and their relationship, and I couldn't just pose her like a senior in a wedding dress, but this girl wasn't the least bit nervous and made my job a BREEZE. It was definitely a fun opportunity to step outside my box and work with some amazing Fargo vendors. Be sure to check everyone out!
